This blog covers a year I spent living in China, August 2010-July 2011. Each Saturday, I share a new story about my time there.
Now back in Minnesota, I’m writing a book about my time in China. It’s written around the themes that kept re-occuring throughout during my stay, such as education, poverty/wealth, etc. Each of these topics represented a new level of understanding. Each of these was a New Plateau. The book, New Plateaus in China, will be complete this summer.

I have really enjoyed your posts. I think a friend shared it with me and I subscribed. I am older now and my travel plans are fewer so thank you for taking me to China. I especially loved meeting and hearing about the people you met. Thank you too for all of your insights and wisdom.
